The inshore Lifeboat (ILB) launched at 6.00 p.m. on Monday 18th July after the UK Coastguard received reports that two paddleboarders and a kayaker were being swept away from the coast.
The ILB made best speed to the position off of the Marine Beach arriving on scene at 6.04 p.m. The ILB closed the vessels and spoke to the persons who said that they were heading back to shore. This was passed to Selsey Coastguard Rescue team who were also tasked and waiting on the beach. Once they had got ashore safety advice was given by the team. The ILB was released to return to station.
CREW: Will Moir (Helmsman), Andy Lee, and Harry Emmence.
