Whilst on exercise around the Chichester Harbour area the all-weather Lifeboat was tasked by the UK Coastguard.
The Lifeboat station had received a phone call from a member of the public who had concerns for people in a small inflatable boat approximately one mile from the beach at Toe End on the Bunn Leisure holiday site. The Lifeboat Operations Manager informed the UK Coastguard who contacted the Lifeboat.
The Lifeboat headed to the area and soon found the craft. When the Lifeboat came alongside the vessel fishing rods could clearly be seen and when the two persons were questioned they said they had been fishing for about an hour and intended staying out for a further two hours. These details were passed to the Coastguards who were happy and released the Lifeboat to continue on exercise.
