UK Coastguard requested the immediate launch of the RNLI inshore Lifeboat at 7.49 p.m.
They had received reports of a diver having difficulties approximately 100 metres off of the Lifeboat station. Just as the Lifeboat was launching the casualty was assisted by a local fishing boat that was nearby. The lifeboat continued and checked that the diver was OK. With no medical or any other assistance required the Lifeboat returned to station.
