The RNLI volunteer crew went to the aid of the fishing vessel 'Nicholas C' at 3.10 p.m. on Thursday 11th September 2014. The 'Nicholas C' was 5 miles south east of Selsey Lifeboat station with two persons aboard and had problems with the engine overheating.
The Tyne class Lifeboat 'Voluntary Worker' was quickly on scene and established a tow with the fishing vessel. The weather on scene was wind easterly force 2-3, slight sea state in hazy sunshine. The 'Nicholas C' is based at Selsey so the vessel was towed back to its mooring.
When the 'Nicholas C' was safely secured on its moorings the Lifeboat rehoused at 4.40 p.m.
