Selsey ILB 'Betty and Thomas Moore' launched at 17:12 at the request of Solent Coastguard to the assistance of a swimmer thought to be in difficulties off of Selsey Bill. 'Betty and Thomas Moore' arrived on scene at 17:14 and was informed that the swimmer had managed to reach the safety of the shore and was with a local Coastguard unit.
The ILB was released from the incident and returned to station at 17:25, was refuelled, washed down and made ready for service at 17:45.
