Rubber Dinghy Adrift off Bognor Regis Pier

Selsey RNLI Inshore Lifeboat ILB 'Betty and Thomas Moore' was launched at 14:53 at the request of Solent Coastguard to rescue two persons reported in a blue rubber dinghy adrift off Bognor Regis pier.

At the casualty only one person was found, and, at 15:20, was landed on the beach and handed over to local Coastguard at 15:25.

When the lLB was on route to Bognor Regis it recovered an inflatable ring half a mile east of the mulberry near Church Norton.

On returning to station at 16:20 'Betty and Thomas Moore' was rehoused straight away and made ready for service.
