Launch to Divers Rib 'Pisces 1'

Selsey Inshore Lifeboat 'Betty and Thomas Moore' launched at 15:32 to assist divers rib 'Pisces 1' which had run out of fuel and was anchored with 4 persons on board approximately 2 miles northeast of Selsey lifeboat station.

'Betty and Thomas Moore' was quickly on scene at 15:39 and retrieved the anchor. Three divers were transferred from 'Pisces 1' to the inshore lifeboat and crew member Chris Harvey was transferred to the casualty to set up a tow line.

The ILB towed 'Pisces 1' and her occupants back to the launching ramp at East Beach where the casualties were left with the local Selsey Coastguard unit.

At 16:14 the ILB departed to return to station, arriving back at 16:15, rehousing straight away and was made ready for service immediately.
