Yacht 'Capella Endeavour' Disabled and Drifting

Selsey all weather lifeboat Voluntary Worker launched at 06:26 to assist the 17-metre yacht 'Capella Endeavour' disabled with a fouled propeller and drifting with two persons aboard approximately four and a half miles east of the Nab Tower.

The lifeboat crew were quickly on scene and passed a tow to the husband and wife crew aboard. At 07:10 a course was set for Portsmouth Harbour. The casualty was berthed alongside in Haslar Marina at 09:30 and left with the local Coastguard team assisting them.

At 09:45 The Voluntary Worker departed Portsmouth Harbour to return to station, arriving back at Selsey at 10:50, rehoused straight away, and was ready for service once more at 11:25.
