Selsey Lifeboat Station - Launches

Possible Suicide Attempt

At 2123 Selsey lifeboat crew were called to assist in a possible suicide attempt with a potential female casualty.

Thankfully, at 2130 just as the inshore lifeboat “Betty and Thomas Moore” was about to enter the water the casualty was safely apprehended by local police on the seawall at East Beach.

The lifeboat and crew were stood down; the lifeboat was rehoused and was made ready for service once more at 2145.
