Suspected Man Overboard

D-691 “Betty and Thomas Moore” launched at 0739 to a local fisherman suspected of falling overboard from his boat. As the inshore lifeboat arrived on scene at 0744 it was confirmed that the fisherman was safe and well, however his punt had broken away from his boat and was drifting in wind and tide. A local dive boat also on scene recovered the punt, and the inshore lifeboat returned the man and his boat to waiting coastguards on the shoreline.
