Recovery of Two Stolen Kayaks

Kayak Kayak Kayak

Selsey inshore lifeboat “Betty and Thomas Moore” launched at 1806 with the addition of two police officers on board to recover two allegedly stolen kayaks, which were being used approximately 500 yards southeast of the station.

The lifeboat was soon on scene at 1810. The two kayaker’s were brought aboard the lifeboat, arrested and conveyed back to the lifeboat station where they were interviewed by the Police officers. The lifeboat and crew returned to sea and collected the two kayaks and also brought them back to the beach at the lifeboat station for the ownership to be sorted out.

At 1835 the lifeboat was released to rehouse and was made ready for service once more at 1900.
