Selsey Lifeboat Station - Launches

10 Metre Motor Cruiser Aground

Selsey inshore lifeboat ‘Betty and Thomas Moore’ launched at 0834 to assist motor cruiser ‘Siete Mare’ with four people and one dog onboard, which had run aground approx 1 mile south of the lifeboat station.

The lifeboat arrived on scene at 0837. A tow was attatched and as the casualty refloated it was towed to deeper water.

The vessel did not appear to be damaged so the engines were tested and the motor cruiser continued on its passage to Brighton.

The lifeboat was released to return to station at 0917.
